Nothing Like Broadway! is a four-character farce set in a dingy little off-Broadway-type cabaret theater, and what happens when two rival international super-spies try to hide out there (from each other). Our underdog hero is Milo, the schlubby lighting guy who dreams of performing on the stage. Worlds collide, hearts get broken, and our hero ends up saving the world, falling in love, and maybe even singing on that glorious, tiny stage.
The Rocking Horse Winner is the story of a seemingly-charming upper-middle class family in 1945, and the slow decline of their son as he finds 'luck' through rocking on a gothic and mystical rocking horse he receives for Christmas. We have reimagined of the previously-villainous character of Hester as a difficult, extraordinary woman in a society where women were expected to be nothing of the sort. Zev Buffman said about our show, "This is one of those journeys, driven by two talented partners in music, that deserves attention and recognition. The work is mysterious and original. Give it a shot – it is well worth it." Music by Sahara Sunday Spain, book & lyrics by David Rackoff.
In the aftermath of Alice’s visit, the fascistic Queen of Hearts battles a rabbit, a mouse, and a playing card for the soul of Wonderland. Book by Scott Guy (based on his play), music by Sahara Sunday Spain, and lyrics by David Rackoff.
It's exactly what it sounds like.
The world’s first one woman farce! A young woman battles her identical twin sisters to win their mother’s diamonds. The Chase Lounge, written and directed by David Rackoff, uses every theatrical trick in the book to create a flat-out hilarious comedy at the expense of one exhausted actress. Backstage West called it “a delightfully crafty… one-person Noises Off”, and LA Weekly said it was “side-splitting”.
I Am Bad is the voyeuristic story of a serial killer in love. Shot entirely from his point-of-view, we see what he sees, and travel through his life from his brutal childhood to the power he reclaims as an adult when he begins to feel the thrill of killing. Then he falls in love with Anne, who is training to be a psychologist. He anonymously contacts her for help. Now his life alternates between the warmth and love he feels with Anne, and the horrific bloodshed he creates in her absence. Each scene is unedited. Characters look directly into the camera (at the audience) when talking to him. When he kills someone, we see his hands as if they were our hands. His actions are our actions.

We are at a world-wide contest to see who is the most brilliant person on Earth. The contest takes place in a small, bucolic village. Nettie was the first winner of the contest 18 years ago, but her work has since been discredited. She schemes her way in the competition, which is judged by Grant, a sweet non-genius who may be the love of her life (or her long lost son!). Strange things abound in this tiny hamlet, as it seems that there are local doppelgängers for every visiting genius. Sci fi, romance, actors playing multiple parts, and farce ensue.
